how can i make a really cute homemade barbie costume?

it cant show my mid-section or clevage. it has to go past my knees and it cant use a tank top or spegetti strap shirt unless it is over a t-shirt. i am in high school and everyone told me i should be a barbie. please say how to dress, do make up, and my hair.

You should get a big T-shirt and cut it up the back and then put velcro fasteners down the middle so it goes on like a Barbie doll top (or if it's long/big enough a dress)
Way overdo the accessories, and of course your nails and hair should be perfect! (Maybe a colored wig or temp hair color)
You could wear leggings or tights or even a plaid skirt with the Barbie top, and then do spike heel pumps or platform shoes. Of course you need a matching purse and maybe a little stuffed poodle or other Barbie-type accessories.
