Could a fatwa against Barbie be imminent?
Iran's top prosecutor has called for restrictions in the import of Western toys, saying they have a destructive effect on the country's youth. The Prosecutor General, Ghorban Ali Dori Najafabadi, said that toys such as Barbie, Batman, and Harry Potter would have negative social consequences.

Makes me wonder why it isn't already done...
By the way - I also don't understand what exactly their problem is, as there IS already an Islamic version of Barbie - who is called Fulla.
But who knows? Fulla must be Sunni, as she is sold in Sunni countries and regions - and therefore might be banned in Iran as well...
So many questions, so many mysteries...
